Does it Hurt?
Although everyone’s pain sensitivity varies, the application of permanent makeup involves minor discomfort. Some clients choose to use a topical anesthetic which greatly reduces sensation.
Is the procedure safe?
Your safety and comfort are our highest concern. Permanent cosmetics are applied using the highest sanitation and sterilization standards available. In addition, all pigments, ointments and applicators are all single use and disposable. Your artist is gloved at all times.
Are the pigments safe?
Pigments used in permanent cosmetics have an extensive record of safety. Used in both medical and artistic fields for over 20 years, their safety is undisputed.
How long does a procedure take?
The length of the procedures may vary, as well as the number of visits required. Color selection, perfecting size and shape are the most time consuming aspects. Actual tattoo time is minimal, sometimes as little as 15 minutes. However, because we are working with YOUR FACE, a minimum of 3 hours are needed to complete the entire process.
For Bi-lateral nipple / areola procedures, please expect a 4 hour appointment. More than adequate time is given to perfect color, size, shape and placement to ensure the most beautiful and natural appearance possible.
Can I change it?
Although shape variations and color adjustments can be made, think of your makeup as permanent. If you desire to change your “look” from time to time, the use of topical makeup is more appropriate. Permanent cosmetics are truly from “here to eternity.” This is their appeal.
Is it easy to remove?
No. Although lasers have aided greatly in the removal of brows and eyeliner, lips require a different approach, as lasers tend to darken pigment in those areas rather than remove it.
Will my insurance cover the cost?
Juli Moon Cosmetic does not take insurance directly, but will provide you with procedural notes that you can present to your insurance company. Some policies will reimburse you for some of the costs.
